God's Tabernacle of Praise

On the first Sunday of July, 1988 begin the first service for God's Tabernacle of Praise with a total of eight people present. The first three services were held in the home of Pastor Woods. God moved them to Paul D West Middle School where they worshipped from 1988-1990.  As the Lord continued to bless them, they received hymnals, microphones, and amplifiers, musical instruments and saved musicians to play the glory of God.  He also blessed them with a van for those who did not have transportation, which allowed them to come in to hear the Word of God.

 

November, 1990 the Lord made away for God's Tabernacle of Praise to move into to 5650 Byrd Rd, Union City.  

 

God's Tabernacle of Praise has increased in members and Ministries for the up building of the Kingdom of God. In 1996 an out reach Ministry was established “South Fulton Community Coalition” which continually helps the community with utility bills, rent, food and clothing. Gods Tabernacle of Praise also has (BOSS) Brothers on Straight Street, Women of Praise Ministry, Youth Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Single Ministry, Caregivers, Ushers, Nurses Ministry, Music Ministry, Deacon Board, Deaconesses, Mother’s Board, Audio Ministry, Education Ministry, Dance Ministry, and Drama Ministry.

 

God's Tabernacle of Praise has been blessed to have acquired property in Union City to move towards the Vision that has been given to Pastor Woods which includes….5650 Byrd Rd in 1990, 5410 Charles St in 1990, 6551 Byrd Rd in 1998, 5453 Charles St in 2006 and 5440 Charles St in 2012.

 

Gods Tabernacle of Praise is a refuge for the lost, and an oasis for the desert traveler, a place where a person can come and find the joy of the Lord and feel His Spirit.
